Feature writer and journalist

UK-based freelance writer Elizabeth MartynAs a freelance feature writer and journalist, I produce features for print and websites. My specialist topics are parenting and relationships, but I'm happy to write on a far wider range of subjects.

I research and write quickly and professionally. If you'd like to discuss a writing job with me, please get in touch.

Print

Here are some places where my work has appeared in print:

  • Supernanny magazine
  • Tesco Baby Club and Tesco Healthy Living magazines
  • Junior and Junior Pregnancy and Birth (where I write an occasional expert Q&A)
  • Articles for Babycentre.com, including pieces on Working at Home and Avoiding Internet Scams.
I've also written for Take a Break, Good Housekeeping, Essentials, the Financial Times, BBC Good Food, Candis and many others.

Websites

I've had great fun writing content for Channel 4 sites.

  • Jamie's School Dinners I wrote all the text on this high-profile site, which includes an interview with celeb chef Jamie Oliver, and a downloadable pack for parents who want to lobby their local school.

  • 10 Years Younger The site for the first series of the cosmetic surgery programme called for in-depth research about cosmetic procedures.

  • Let's Talk Sex A very down to earth and informative site aimed at teenagers and their parents, which supported a programme fronted by Davina McCall.

  • Going to Extremes A big site for which I provided all the self-help information and features.

  • Don't Shake A feature about shaken baby syndrome, supporting a programme on this subject.
